Harris and Lewis and Mamiya
It was the most amazing of trips. I was overwhelmed with nature, landscape, people and hospitality. Both cameras had been working hard and there’s a huge pile of transparencies waiting to get scanned. Soon. And I want to go back already.
Time for home. Time for domestic pleasures. But not now.
Maybe these photos look so nice now, because my head is rather full of travels and need for change. I’m going away this weekend again, I’m contemplating selling or getting rid of many possessions to lighten the mental and physical load, I’m looking for flights and flats in faraway cities daily. Yet I like the … Read more
This spring feeling. Where is it?
I certainly can’t feel spring yet. Days are getting longer, but the gloomy skies are grey and heavy here in Scotland. I’ll be happy to pack up and catch a flight to Istanbul in 10 days. Meanwhile, trying to pretend that spring is here I’m posting some photos of various projects or snapshots that make … Read more
Things to be excited about.

When I wasn’t making chocolates, I was finishing the commissioned … Read more
Country of winds
There’s more photos from my recent walks and trips. I am learning about this country more and more. I have lived in Scotland for 5 years now, but there’s still things to be discovered. I quite often feel like it’s time to move on, and I will, practical things are slowly getting sorted, but whilst … Read more
Magic forest.
Some films scanned last Monday. Amazing magic forest. Best light conditions I’ve seen lately. 100 ISO transparency- don’t get to use that so often in Scotland.
Scotland offers some worst and best light conditions.
Dramatic frost- mist- fog- sunshine- rain. All in one. Unbearable, but photogenic.
Nature in November. Films. Plans.
It’s been a busy week again- more than positively though. Nearly every few weeks there’s a deadline for a competition, arts funding or other opportunities. So there has been a lot of typing, proofreading, printing, queuing in a post office. All done now. On Monday I was taking photos for a very talented Anna Montgomery, … Read more
